I have a plan to mod my truck:

    Its a 1500HD 4x4 6.0 4L80E I need to keep it depenable and half-a$$ practical.

1st 4-6" suspension lift (something that requires no cutting of original equipment)
Skyjacker looks to be a good choice

    2nd Rims/Tires 17-18"wheels 35" tires

3rd I still want to motor, as in accelerate fast, no top speed records, a real good 0-60 would suffice w/ the ability to run 100mph easy.

4th How can I modify my drivetrain to accomplish this? supercharger? normally aspirated? I keep hearing Radix, what about Kenne Bell?

I'm going to Togo's now for a hot pastrami on white, see you when I get back.

Oh and if I forget later, Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Hey, you're off to a great start with the 6L and 80E.

Those trucks turn out pretty nice and great power gains just from a tune.

A small cam and a tune would give you about 50hp, if i had to guess. That would perk up your truck and you'd still have great drivability and good gas mileage.

If you're thinking supercharged, go with a Radix, you need that instant boost and lowend power, plus you'll still be able to pull to 6Krpms.

ProjectR can hook you up with a nice deal on a Radix, then come see me for a tune and a smaller pulley, hehee.

    thanks for asking,

    allen

thanks allen, the Radix gets more recommendations than anything.

It must be in my nature to question something when everyone seems to agree on it, go figure.

admitting I have a problem is the first step right?

    then its about 5k

take care, time to go have some quality time with the wife it being movie night and all

    cheers for those that can

Togo's makes some damn good samwitches....

Allen is right, go with a cam and tune for cost considerations. Otherwise get the radix. Trust me, you will not understand how you lived without it....

OK, there's been a slight change in plans.

    First, no-more 4-6" lift.

Stock height w/ velvet ride shackles in the rear(better highway ride). and a 2" bodylift.

This will allow me to run 20" wheels with 305/50-20 for the street and 33x12.50-16 offroad.

As you all know, I ordred the magnacharger radix, I will take delivery this friday!!!

Magnaflow Cat-Back is in the mail!

Stereo/Alarm is paid for and I'm just waiting for all the parts to come in.

why the change? I live 5min, from Carlsbad Dragstrip, and I can always raise it later if I feel the need..
