Each filter (wet or dry) have their own advantages... I have never run a dry filter before, but from what I have heard, they are pretty cool... I have always had a K&N. Some people frown upon a K&N or other wet filters because the oil can gum up the MAF or TB--but those who get those problems probably have put WAY too much oil on them and then immediately drove around---not giving the oil sufficient time to dry. I like the wet K&N cause you can completely clean out all of the crap that is caught by the filter. I am not sure how well you can clean a dry filter? By knocking the dust out or by using a vacuum? With the K&N, you spray on the cleaning solution and then wash it out. That way you get all of the crap outta there. Plus, I think having the oil on there helps trap more of the fine particles that would bypass a dry filter...
