Should I change gear ratio?

im guessing you have the same tranny as me and i believe its the NGV3500 correct me if im wrong. probably the same crappy rear end as well. mine goes pretty damn good till 65 then forget about it. highway im like18-1900 at 70 but who does 70 im looking forward to having 6 gears for sure. lots of low end nut with an extra gear for the highway

Sounds about identical to mine. The t56 is in my future too, but the 5 speed will have to do right now. I can't find any good deals on them, too many people want them. Thought a set of 3.73 gears would wake it up a little. I hear you get better gas mileage too. I could see that happening in the city, not sure of the highway tho.

yeah i made the plunge and bought a t-56 they are expensive to say the least look to spend over a grand on the tranny itself. let alone have to buy a 400$ clutch 150$ slave 190$shifter i will have close to 2grand into mine by the time it is installed but i will be worth it all day in my opinion after all its just money... if we were all uptight about it we wouldnt be modding our trucks now would we
