theres an lq4 up here with an 80e out of a 99 2500, we got her talked down to 1500$ and i think 2000$ if you dont have a replacement for the whole set up, then my buddy backed out so im sure if you called they would work with you, mileage was 140,000 if i remember right. Its at 69 auto salvage in mcalester, OK 918-423-2530 or 1800-722-9618 if you want all the details on it. I dont get anything out of this obviously just tryin to help you out. I almost bought it just to resale but the wife wouldnt go for it

Damn, i bought one last week 65k miles, its an 02 Sierra Denali trk, just the engine, harness, with acc bracket and idler/tensioners

no alt or p/s or a/c like i could used a/c for 1720 with core charge

should have known it when i bought something, i would have found a better deal

the place is TEXMEX in houston,tx... that price is my price.. i buy a lot of stuff from them... 3 motors, 3 trans and quite a few misc stuff.. (not all at the same time, but over the course of 1 year)... it would come as a complete pull out, all acc, motor,trans, harness,computer, 2ft of exhaust pipe probally get a pair of 02's... maybe snag the trans lines and rad lines and a maf. the guy i deal with is hella cool.. talk to them like they are the man, and get what you want
anyway ive seen them go for 2500-3000 so i know i woulda had a great deal, except i got skurred when all the techs at my work were like the 80e gobbels up more gas plus our medium duty mech works on 6.0's every other day. i decided to go with the weak sauce 5.3

no seriously dude not being a dick or anything. the 99-00 motor isnt worth a dime to be honest. it is a 9.4 cr instead of 9.5 which isnt the problem. it has a smaller cam then others, not to mention it has iron heads which arent good either. it only has 300hp instead of 325 and not to mention it has the longer crank which limits you to use of only 80e trans. i know cause theres one in the garage tht someone told him it would work. now the motor needs to have a new crank installed to work with a t56

so for the time and effort involved not to mention the money you can find another 01+ motor for same or lesser money

thats cool man thats why i put the year cuz i figured it was not as good as the newer ones and all that other stuff you typed about it im sure is correct but it might as well been greek to me but i do apprieciate the info so now i can tell the other guys.
