    Cam selection help

    Hi there
    I am new in the forum
    I want your help guys to select a cam for my 4.8L sierra with MT
    Now I am running K&N intake, tune, and LT headers
    I have 2 cams in mind which are Comp Cam

    Lift: .522''/.529''
    Duration @ .050'': 212°/218°
    RPM Range: 1200-6000
    Lobe 114°

    Lift: .525/.532''
    Duration @ .050'': 216°/220°
    RPM Range: 1300-6300
    Lobe 114°

    and what should I get with the cam valve springs and pushrod what eles?

    Pleace help I don't have good experaince in cams

    I want good cam for daily driving with leas noise (little high noise is ok) also without losing the drivability

    either one will do just fine, the 216/220 will have some better lope!

    i voted for the bigger one, i think it will give more power under the curve.

    Both work well. I've had a 212/218, LS6 cams, 218/222 and some other stuff and the lil 212/218 is a great DD cam.

    either cam will be great for a DD. but the bigger cam will be better for the 4.8L. i think you will be happier with it.

    I have a 212/218 in my 5.3. it's a great cam, makes power past 6400rpm, nice little lope, i get 20+mpg. mine will be for sale shortly too...

    here's my buddy's 4.8 with the same cam
