    so can i use stock 6.098 rod length to make a 5.3 block into a 5.7L
    with the stock ls1 pistons size. and a ls1 crank

    Or you can bore it 3mm and buy a set of pistons and have a 5.7L
    2006 1500 CC/SB with the 5.3L and Nelson PCM.
    soon to come is a intake and exhaust. (wifes truck)

    Other vehicle is a 03 2500HD CC/SB 6.6L DMAX straight piped and Edge stacked with Superchips and gauges, Loves to eat rice for sure! Fartcan exhaust makes it better!

    i would have to bore it to fit the ls1 size piston? right?

    ok ls1 is a 3.89399mm bore rod is a 6.098 stroke is a 3.633
    so i take the 4.8l / 5.3l block and i bore it 3mm. to make it a 99mm block, and then trash the 3.267 crank and thro in the ls1 crank. then just use the ls1 rods of 6.098

    i thank thats right.
