After doing some price shopping and finding all things to be close to equal on that front I started reading around, and found that there is no "preferred" setup to use for datalogging.

I'm about to split the cost with a friend of mine, and am curios if there is a reason to get one over the other?

EFILive appears to have a little nicer apperance, but it seems that both are logging/reporting the same error codes as well as information........

Soo, Which do you use, and why did you pick that one??

I thought ATAP and EFI Live come together?
I bought EFI Live 5.0 and upgraded to 6 for free.
It came with ATAP as well...was about 350 I think...
EFI Live 6 has the bi-directional controls which are cool to play with

I have both .... EFILive is light years ahead of ATAP. It updates the PID's about 3 times as fast as ATAP does even using more PID's than the ATAP will let you. You can also do things with the bi-directional controls with EFILive, which ATAP doesn't have at all.
