I've installed the Pacesetter Headers and ory pipe... I did retain my cats for smog purposes... If your not going to be running cats.. .the whole system bolts together super easy... If you are, i would consider not buying the y pipe, because your local exaust shop will just have to cut it up, to use it anyways... Just save the money, from not buying the y pipe, and put that towards having the exaust done... if you look through my post, i have some pics of my whole exaust system. I had the exaust guy cut up, and use the madrall bent 3inch ory pipe in my exaust system..

retain the cats if you're worried about the inspection. If you do end up leaving them off, the exhaust is going to "stink" a little more

well the idea i had was to go with the PS LT's and ORY and then run a single 3.5 or 4" cat and a single exhaust out the back the same size and use a dynomax ultraflow muffler. and a nice polished tip in about the stock position.

What do you guys think about this idea?

If your truck has two cats stock, you have to have two cats when you do anything else, or you won't pass inspection regardless..... And as far as the Rest of the Exaust goes, its personal opinion... I think one tip Looks Retarted, but like i said its personal opinion, do what your going to be happy with looking at every day.

well i dont think they would know weather or not it came stock with one or two cats, and with OBD2 all they do is hook up the computer to the OBD2 plug under the dash and as long as you dont have any codes your good to go, they dont sniff the tailpipe and most dont even look under the vehicle.

I have Tunercat OBD2 tuner that i got from a buddy and was using it on my 2K Olds Bravada to tune out the EGR and AIR injection, along with a few other mods, and i may go ahead and buy the def file for this 03 and just put on the LT's and ORY and turn off the post cat O2 sensors and see what happens, this truck is due for inspection in feb i believe.
