well i showed him how a real SS should run. i was just driving along on my way to get some mayo for my tuna sandwich when i hear some whinny domestic rice. so i punched it and flew past him. damn it my avg. mph went from 14.5 down to 11. oh well, it was worth it.

maybe I'm just old fashioned but to me an SS just has to be a few things and high up on that list are RWD and V8. now the impala SS has the V8 but no RWD. but i might consider it. being as i love that 5.3. but the cobalt makes me laugh. i don't care if one could beat me, its still a chick car like someone said.

Nice kill! Man I love TBSS's...fast with room for passengers. I used to own a Cobalt SS/SC, they are actually really fun cars to drive and they handle like a mofo. I ran a 13.6 @ 103mph with $150 in mods lol. Not bad for an econobox! I just hated the ricer wing...

I think if anything didn't deserve the SS moniker it was the pre gen III v8 Impala and Malibu.

The cobalt can def. be fun still, I agree . even that little 4 banger gets a good seat of your pants pull when she's boostin.

yeah, im not saying anything about 4-bangers, before i got my truck i was deep into dsm's. i still love boosted 4 bangers, great mileage and great power. although i do hate FWD, mine was AWD. what im saying is does it really deserve the SS name. and your absolutely right about the pre gen 3 not deserving it. i couldn't stand the looks and the power sucked. the guy around here with the cobalt SS is a huge @ss. he talks alot of junk but cant back it up. one of my workers was at a light last week in the junk mazda work truck and it almost stalled so hit tapped the gas and this guy thought he wanted to race, so when the light turned green he nailed it and my worker took off normal, then this fool missed 2nd and my worker almost passed him before he could get moving agian.
