theyre is alot of write ups about this .basiccally from the factory they run a coolant line through the tb.it keeps the tb from freezing,up in cold weather so if you live in the south no worries. so if you unhook /bypass ,it helps keep the intake temp cooler /tb hence more hp so it is a free upgrade so mite as well do it .just unhook the line on the left of tb and the right of tb .and attach them together with a fitting and clamp them together .good luck i hope it helps.

First off, I'll say I did this and it's stupidly simple. Second off, I'll say I did it and it was stupidly ineffective.

lol...you can do it but it's not going to give you any noticeable gains. Re-routing the line is going to reduce IAT's enough (if at all) to make it worth it.

I am with Moze...TB bypass mod is free and sounds like a good idea, but no real noticeable gains. You can either port your stock TB, or do a 80mm TB. My 80mm BBK TB is freaking awesome. I noticed a pretty big power increase when I installed mine--but then again, I did the TB and e-fans at the same time...

Yea i did the whole bypass thing too you'll need a 3/8 fitting 1/4 will work but its hell getting it on, but i didnt notice anything but even if its one hp its more than i had. My buddy just put an 80mm bbk on his 05 Z71 it worked so well that i ordered mine the next day. When i get it ill let you know.
