new cam, heads, springs, rods. and a little test drive

i finally got her all back together tonight and drove it around a little, i have heard not to beat on it right away so i didn't get on it to much but its amazing. i love the sound. it has a loud rap now that definitely was not there before. if feels spongy but that may be from not being used to driving with the stall in a while. but i forgot how much i love that supercharger whine. the two guys that were helping me said when i was driving it they could swear that it was a camaro or trans am and not a truck running around. but i need a tune. it really doesn't want to idle, and i want the bigger injectors so when i do open it up i can run her too 6500 or 7000. because with the higher rpm's it will probably hit 10psi or more at red line. i don't know yet i only ran it up too 3500.

6,500 or 7,000 on a stock bottom end? If so, I would just pulley down on the Procharger.

    What size injectors? Meth?

Yes, SC--good advice--pin that crank pulley. Its a must since you have highly upgraded your mods. I'd only rap it up to about 6300--or 6500 max RPMs if it was me--an that stock bottom end...
And it's a good idea to be easy on it for about 500 miles or so... But don't be afraid to push it a little every now and then. Its not good to rag the piss out of it now, but maybe one or two up to 4500 or 4750 RPMs won't hurt anything--just don't redline it for a bit.

yes i have the snow stage 2 off my sub, and some 28lb injectors. i really want bigger injectors but need to wait for the funds. i have a little problem. when i run it up and boost starts to build, i see white smoke, or even if i rev it hard in neutral it will puff smoke. can that be pcv or egr or something. or does anyone else have any ideas. also it isn't tuned for the cam yet. i defiantly need the injectors because it doesn't pull like i think it should. its very strong but not a monster like i want. im thinking low low 13's

White smoke? That is usually from a little oil blow-by... Maybe your rings are starting to give... And you haven't taken the EGR off yet? Damn son, get that done soon. It's really easy actually. I know for a fact that Red and I started/talked about that in a thread somewhere... Search the forum for EGR. You could also try and do a little SeaFoam action on it...It will help clean stuff out. But since you have been FI on it for a while, FI motors usually don't get carbon build up, but doing a little SeFoam will help smooth things out and let it breath better...

Wow, my 6.0L had to got to 60lbers to keep up, but I wasn't running meth.

Pin the crank like said above, or you will be looking for a new one like I did.

Do you have the vac lines arranged so you can't pressurize the crank case?

Does it white puff on start up after sitting overnight?

the smoke was because I'm a dumbass. or billy the guy who helps me is. why is it necessary to pin the crank. i heard that was only vette's and camaro's. i am gonna actually park it now, like i said in another thread, its running like garbage.

Because the crank pulley is only pressed on, no keyway to keep it from spinning. The blower puts a lot of load on that pulley. If you want to keep pushing it, you better pin it or you will be looking for a new crank pulley and possibly a new crank.
