from what you said earlier ide say the best thing for your truck would be a nelson tune. with the shift firmness, tuned fuel map at 93 or 91 oct. along with higher shift point. gives about 30-35 hp and better mpg. i did mine not to long ago and its like adding 50-100 hp feel. before my 0-60 was about 9.5 seconds now its down to about 7-7.5 seconds. Barks the tires when it shifts into second gear. here is a vid of my 0-60 time YouTube - 0-70mph acc
Best mod Ive ever done to any vehicl Ive ever had. i highly recomend it

mail orders are good from what I hear, but live tune in person is the way to go. Find time to drive down to sanantonio and he will custom tune your truck. 30mins time and by the time you get home or a day after the vcm has relearned and youll have full potential unlocked. I never vouched for a product before, I really didnt believe in it but custom tune is the bomb. and its $375 plus tax if you drive down there. comes out to like $405. worth every frickin penny.

Whats up man! Welcome to LS1truck! Sounds like you've got a pretty swee truck--now you just gotta make it perform as good as it looks! Yes, a 3000-3400 stall is definitely needed for a 4.8L... And you list of potential mods looks pretty good! You have a specific cam in mind? Or would you want us to help out in finding one for ya?
