    Need help with th350 build.

I have access to a Th350(9") and a TH350C. Which one would be easier to make into a regular TH350(6")? Also, can I pull the 6" tailshaft out while it's still in my truck? Or what is the easiest way to get my trans out of my truck without a lift(and without pulling the motor)? I only have a small jack and a couple jackstands that don't go really high + my driveway is lumpy and un-paved. If I could get my trans out, I wouldn't need the 350C or the 9". Let me know what ya'll think can work best for me. Thanks.

    Use your trans

If the other trans is a long tail shaft...use yours. If they are the same length, use it. The TH-350C can be coverted to a non-lockup valvebody...kit available at trans parts store. I use Nagalitos transmissions in SA...great service, knowlegable sales reps...talk to Nick.

If this is your first rebuild, buy a book from the tranny shop...shows how to upgrade your tranny to the latest stock mods. Easy to read, lots of pictures. Where you want to be carefull is installing the seals...make sure you have access to an air compressor so you can test the clutch packs out after you build them up...air can be used to tell if you cut the seals or not...buy an extra seal kit if you haven't built one before...they are cheap...9 bucks or so...

    Good luck, keep it clean!

I ended up getting my trans out of my truck, so it's at the shop getting built. I didn't know much about what mods to do to the trans, so I bought a basic rebuild kit with a transgo shift kit.
