    Big Plans

    Hello everyone Iam Michael from Austin, Texas... I just bought a black 2000 Silverado short bed single cab with a 4.3 V6 and a 5 speed, I just got a good bonus from my job, That i wasn't expecting so i have a few dollars to throw around... Iam wanting to do a LS1 swap is there anyone in here that has done the same swap that I could talk too or if anyone knows of any links that would be helpful that would be great

    welcome to the site! what part of austin are you from?

    Welcome Michael! We have several members who have done the swap, so finding info won't be the problem... Do you plan on having a shop do the install, or do you think you'll do it yourself? Ever thought of doing an LS1/T-56 since you alreayd have the manual tranny?

    Yes I would love to keep it a manual 5 or 6 speed would be great, and for a shop install I would like to get a quote if anyone knows a good shop in the Austin area
