    4l80e conversion...Help

ok I want to get rid of the old 4l60e before or about the time the blower goes on(x-mas time)...I have been looking for conversion kits and only found one on Scroggins site but they want a alot for it and it comes with a 4l80e...

I plan on putting a FLT 4l80e in so i just need the conversion kit.

Can anyone help with wut parts i need and maybe an install guide if anyone has done it before/ possibly point me towards a thread that i may have missed concerning this matter...

getting things ready for the 1st of the year when i get to install most of the parts i am currently buying/stock piling in the garage.

FLT has a conversion kit you can buy and it does come with the 80e, but if you go on there, you can also buy the parts individually. You could probably call FLT and get them to point you into what individual parts you would need. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is the crossmember, flywheel spacer bolts, harness, shortened driveshaft, and some other stuff. Check it out though. http://www.finishlinetrans.com/

I don't think FLT has a conversion kit. Ducky, your link doesn't work either, here is the correct link for FLT Finish Line Transmissions | Performance Transmissions | Torque Converters | Transmission Parts | Transmission Service

Speed engineering has the conversion kits and parts sold seperately. Individual Parts for Conversion / Speed Engineering - Specializing in LS1, LS2 and LT1 Performance Parts

Whats going wrong with your tranny dude? If its build right it should hold 500hp easy. A 4l60e can be made strong and u can upgrade to a 65e. The 80e is stout but will cost u horsepower and extra weight....
