I still have a 350 tbi in my truck and i ran a 94 Muffstain 5.0 today from a rolling 20. He jumpped out about 1/2 a car length and stuck there for a little while and hit second when he did that allowed me to catch back up to him as i had already shifted to third and we stayed neck and neck untill i got to 3700rpm in 4th when he finally left me. I dont know how fast we were going because my speedometer only goes to 85. I do know that i still had another gear but not enough motor. Im not saying that keeping up with a muffstain is all that good but damn i expected way more speed from a muffstain than that. When we got to the next red light the dude wouldnt even look at me. Why are all the muffstain guys like that. I dont know what the hell to think. I guess he realized how slow his car actually is after that run. Is that dude way slower than i expected or is my tbi not as slow as i thought it was? I cant wait to put an ls1 with a 6 gear in it. I think i could have took him if i had a set of 3.42's instead of 3.08's. All i can think is how bad i would have stomped his sorry ford ass into the pavement with an ls1. I thought only girls drive muffstains, thats where they get the name for them isnt it?

Sounds to me that you gave him a run! Those 350 TBI motors are good running motors! They will suprise you sometimes!

    Nice run!

This 4.3 TBI is one tough mofo too. I've taken it to hell and back, i have a couple ticking rockers, and 4th gear synchro is gone on it..... this is my sure sign it's time for my LS1. Just have to wait for this summer.
