    SS owners need your help

so i have a guy at work that is trading his GMC in on a 2005 SS truck. he has been going on and on and on about the 405HP that the truck has. now in all the internet searching i have been doing the most i can find that they have factory is 345-350 bone stock (which the one he is getting is) so i am hoping that you guys can shed some light on the SS trucks as far as what power they have stock as well as what it would take to get to 405HP aftermarket.

thanks in advance for your help...

All SS trucks in production are 345 HP stock. To get 405 hp out of them. Some long Tubes and a really nice tune, full exauhts, and Cold Air Intake and that should put him close to around 400 IMO.

what you need to do is print out some articles, showing him the facts. Itll be hard to prove you wrong if you have cold hard evidence.

I had a TR 224 on 112 cam, headers (mids not long), intake & tune & dyno'd 340 at the wheels on Allen's dyno.

Add 18% for driveline loss, and that gives you 401 HP.

My truck could have been a sissy since the motor blew up anyway!
    Gone, but not forgotten!
