    comp 1.7 RR's fit?

    does anyont have some comp 1.7 roller rockers that fit under the stock valve covers cause i mocked them up and they don't seem to fit...do you need cover spacers or will they fit?
    '99 5.3L Silverado

    Yes, they will fit if they are 1.7's. Even 1.8's will fit...

    yeah but they didn't fit under my valve covers do i need to take that aluminum plate thing out or something? The bolts seemed to hit the top of the valve cover.

    I read/know that 1.7's will fit w/o valve cover modifications, but I would recommend that you call Comp and ask them. Or if Greg wants to let us know he can...wink, wink!

    Hello, I got a used set on the floor [Comp Cam 1.75] and the destructions don't say what to throw out. I haven't taken my valve covers off yet [real soon though] but it looks like you remove the aluminum plate. The stock rockers tighten down on them. The CC roller rockers don't use them, they are held down by the top adjustment nut and held inline by the push rod plates.
    If I am wrong just call me a dummy.

    actually they didn't fit because the third one in (the mounting stud) hit the dip in the cover that houses the threads and bolt for mounting the coil packs so idk...i think im just going to sell them, i put the stock ones back on.
