I have the same set up, After I installed my 2" rear drop, with no trimming.I had no change in ride quality at all. But I do have the Vortec MAX package that comes with the Ride Control Suspension Sys. and Billstine shocks.

Get ride of the bump stops thats what is messing up your smooth ride..... Take em off and get some short stops from belltech.... I have a belltech 4 inch drop with edelbrock shock and it rides as good or better than stock..
Thanks guys...
Changed tires, shocks and took out the bump stops...Tires alone really softened it up...Shocks just made it better, and removing the bump stops proved to be the final ingredient...nice to be able to see out of the mirror again!
I had a tire separating...started off bad but at 75 it was smoother...Next i need to do a front end alignment. That will happen this week...don't want to scuff the new treads too much!
Thanks again!
