    locker question

I have done searches on the subject but I have not come up with a answer for my question. I''ve got a 2000 ecsb silverado, 91000 miles that I just bought. It's got stock size tires on it now and I don't plan to go any taller. I'm not looking to go offroading or racing this truck but I do tow a boat and plan to trailer my small block S-10. It's got a open diff in it now and I don't like the idea of getting stuck on a slick boat ramp. I'd like your opinion on putting a spider replacement locker in this thing. I've looked around at the g80s and they are going for about the same price used. Help on a good brand name would be great. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Just my opinion. The locker is not the best rig for towing.
I'd suggest you a Eaton Truetrac.
Smooth, quiet,no clutchs to wear out.It can handle quite a bit of H.P also if it's needed.
