I feel like this is a dumb question but i am going to ask it anyway. I have had a little trouble getting my starter to function on my lq9 swap (into a 96 chevy). i wired up a fused switch to the solenoid and the hot cable from the starter, and it works. when i was trying to use the ignition switch with the purple wire, it wont start. I dont currently have the two "other" wires that normally connect to the larger post. do these two wires need to be connected, or is there maybe some other issue? thanks in advance
