I have always changed my own oil using Mobil1. When we purchased my 2013 Silverado Z71, the salesman (personal friend) snuck in the service plan for free oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years. My question is, is that even though I didn't pay for the service plan, should I still continue to change my own oil? Reason being is because I'm sure dealerships use the oil that was sold by the lowest bidder and probably not synthetic. I'm pretty anal about my vehicles which is why I'm looking for guidance and not really concerned about paying for and doing my own oil changes
