1982 K10 Silverado - LQ9 + 4L80E Swap, 4x4, Lifted
I finally decided to sell my 1982 K10 Silverado. The truck is in GREAT condition. I swapped in a 2003 LQ9 & a 2007 4L80E transmission. The LQ9 6.0L engine is completely stock. The 4L80E is completely stock besides a Trans Go shift kit. Makes for a great driver. The shifts are firm but nothing crazy. Using a B&M Floor Shifter since the truck was originally a manual. The truck still has the original transfer case. It also has locking 4x4 front hubs. All of the gauges work on the dash as well.
I replaced the following parts on the trucks this past summer/fall (many parts bought new from LMC):
Tie Rod Ends (with alignment)
Drag Links
Carpet
Vinyl Seat Covers from LMC
Sun Visors
Arm Rests
Leather Door Panel Insert & Kick Panels
Pioneer Radio/CD Player with remote control
New Speakers
The truck has 33x12.5x15 Geolander tires. The tires are almost new with about 85% tread remaining. The truck has a 3.5" leaf spring lift. The lift kit doesn't use a lift block. Rancho shocks were recently installed. The truck also has an original/OEM Hydroboost brake setup on it.
The truck has all original sheet metal and still has solid fenders, rockers and cab corners. There is an undercoating on the under body. When I did the engine swap, I also removed the side saddle tanks and installed a new 25 gallon center mounted tank (from a K15 Blazer).
