Hey guys, thanks for the support I'm new here. My dad bought a 1993 1500 2wd when I was 16. It is a very nice truck original paint, has a built 350 tbi and beefed up transmission. Long story short, the 350 motor is blown . We want to make better power and good gas mileage, my buddy said do a 5.3 swap. So here are my questions: can I use the 1993 built 4l60e that comes with my truck to fit 5.3? I want to keep the 5.3 stock for now, but my question is will a built 4l60 stand up if I put an ls6 cam an long tubes with a tune on it eventually? Also how hard Is it to get the 5.3 attached and mounted ? Any common issues with a 5.3 swap In this application ? Check out my truck! Original paint 1993 baby
