Okay today I finally cut my Summit Catback system off after 5 years. The muffler finally rusted the inner baffles loose. And of course as with most people money is tight so my only option was to re-instal my silent sounding stock exhaust. This leads to my questions.
Which is a better setup for a daily driver? Single in single out, single in dual out, or true duals minus the longtube headers? I am thinking of a 40 series Flowmaster as my replacement muffler.
Even though the exhaust is so quiet it makes me wonder if the truck is even running.
Now by going back to the single in single out will it make the truck seem to have more torque? Driving it normal, it does seem to have more torque, but I just wonder if my truck is playing mind games with me.
okay and finally is there any advantage or disadvantage of either running turndowns after the muffler or running the tailpipes straight out the rear again?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
