Even with a stock converter 60' times can vary wildly leaving at different RPM between idle and full converter brake stall. Mine runs quickest in between at around a 1200 RPM leave. It's quicker from idle than from 1600. Try different launches from idle up to full brake stall in 100 RPM stages until you find the sweet spot.
