a few questons.

so im not mechanically retarted or anything. but one of the few things ive always been confused about on my truck is when you say you have a 14 bolt 6-LUG REAR END. on my 05 rcsb i have a v6 and i have 6 lugs on each corner but what exactly are the 14 bolts? its probably something obvious. but hey thats why i joined this site to help me out.

Hey its aggie..

We have the 10 bolt rear end (If not Its 12 but pretty sure 10)..the 14 bolt I believe is the bigger rear ends that come on the HD trucks....

But yea the 6 lug is the 1/2 ton trucks only and 8 lugs are on the 3/4 ton trucks...

Im not sure what gears you have but they are either 3.42 or 3.73..According to our manuals thats what they are...Im pretty sure mines the 3.42 though..

His truck is the utility light duty truck...

Those only come with 3.42s or 3.73s

But if you get the normal package with power options it says in the manual you can either get 3.23 or 3.42
