Maybe a turn signal switch problem? Or hazard switch? I can't remember if the new trucks work like the old ones did. Do the parking lamps work? It could be a ground problem in the rear. Do you have some kind of trailer wiring hooked up? Maybe some connector plug is loose.

every light front and back in and out works

It could be a ground problem in the rear.

I think if its a ground other lights will be down

I have the stock trailer socket never used it.

the only thing I had done was have the truck detailed then I notice the next few days the brake lights are out

on the sss board someone thinks its a recall problem, but I can't find anything on it

thanks for the reply

I DO NOT KNOW, BUT IF A BULB IS OUT WILL IT KILL THE LOOP OF CURRENT FOR THE TAIL LIGHTS? I KNOW ON OLDER VEHICLES WHEN A BULB WENT OUT THE LIGHTS DIDN'T WORK B/C THERE WAS A BREAK IN THE LOOP OR CURRENT IN THE SYSTEM. I COULD BE WRONG.

highly unlikely. but i will tell u that if the third break lights stops working u have to replace the entire light to fix it. if u prob persists outside of the third brake light itself then u should be good. do u think it could be a fuse? also break lights on 03+ trucks are known to be problematic. daniel(red03silss) blew 3 or 4 bulbs in 2 days right after he bought his truck so it could be that its a persisting problem as u mention it may have a recall.

My 3rd brake light is a aftermarket LED I had in for over a year and is working fine, do you think this could be the problem
you can see it here

hey bro, I had the exact same problem the backup light works but the tail lights dont work at all, i changed my flasher i changed the fuses i did almost everything you could do to trouble shoot the problem and all it was is the damn wire that was disconnected check the tail light wires they could be disconnected . for some reason dont ask how but that wire comes loose so just check it.
