Maybe a turn signal switch problem? Or hazard switch? I can't remember if the new trucks work like the old ones did. Do the parking lamps work? It could be a ground problem in the rear. Do you have some kind of trailer wiring hooked up? Maybe some connector plug is loose.

the only thing I had done was have the truck detailed then I notice the next few days the brake lights are out

I KNOW ON OLDER VEHICLES WHEN A BULB WENT OUT THE LIGHTS DIDN'T WORK B/C THERE WAS A BREAK IN THE LOOP OR CURRENT IN THE SYSTEM. I COULD BE WRONG.every light front and back in and out works

highly unlikely. but i will tell u that if the third break lights stops working u have to replace the entire light to fix it. if u prob persists outside of the third brake light itself then u should be good. do u think it could be a fuse? also break lights on 03+ trucks are known to be problematic. daniel(red03silss) blew 3 or 4 bulbs in 2 days right after he bought his truck so it could be that its a persisting problem as u mention it may have a recall.
i ran a set of aftermarket houseing i got off ebay and then the lights where aftermarket also reverse was like a blue color and the the other ones where stock color but they are crome bulbs anyways my bulbs melted and stuck to my brand new houseings which all happend in a period of less than 24 hours i even wiped the bulbs off
