Thread: how should my truck run against SRT10 or lightning

1. #1
I pulled up next to an Srt10 truck yesterday, in my wifes pathfinder, and was like DAMN I wish I was in my truck cause at the very least I'd harrass him some. I do not have the long tubes and ORY or meth on yet.
With the whipple and these mods how should it compare and what might my guestimated time be?
Check my sig for mods.
I am waiting to get the headers and meth on before going to the track. Which is over and hours drive away from me. I may never get there the way things look with my schedule. Especially since I have had the meth and headers for a month or more now and have not got them installed yet.

So, you pretty much have a S/C, built tranny, and a tune? No other supporting bolt ons? If you have only what you say, then you should be in the neighborhood of 315 RWHP? Just a guess there. That might be on the high end though. Being a RCSB, you should be able to pull a low to mid 14 sec. 1/4 mile run. Your added weight of the 4wd is hurting only a little. A SRT-10 does the quarter in 13.6 and a Lightning does a 13.9. Both times are from what I have seen on stock vehicles. If you want to run with them, then you will definitely need the LT's and the meth hooked up. Get those on--and with a retune, you should be able to run neck and neck with them--depending upon the circumstances, you should be able to beat them. If you have that stuff laying in the garage---call in sick and get them installed!

I think you will take care of them fine. Launch in 4hi and put it on em quick and shut down at the top of the 2nd. I beat quite a few of those with tune, intake, exhaust, 3k stall and a 100 shot and Im an extended cab with a system and tool box full of shit. Most rcsb srt-10s are easy prey on the street due to shitty traction and shitty drivers. Now with the new setup they dont ahve a snow balls chance in hell

Yes, very good point. Those SRT-10 6-speeds are a biatch to launch--you have to get it perfect to get a 13.6... If they over rev it, they have huge amounts of wheel spin...if they under rev it, they can bog slightly. Lightnings have the same issue with traction from a dig. If they try and stall it, they spin like mad. Either way, if you launch in 4 HI, you should take them...
