Well today I got up at 4am (after going to sleep at 3) to drive to San Antonio to get Joe to work his magic on my Ford. I had an Eaton LSD and FMS 4.10:1 gears installed as well as some Earls stainless brake lines.

After getting lost and feelin like a moron, I arrived with my copilot to the destination.

First went the new brake lines...very NICE upgrade, pedal feel is much nicer with heavy braking. Even one of my fittings was already stripped...that was fixed and all new hoses then bled brakes.

Rear axle time... sweet Eaton went it with the gears. Joe is a magician when it comes to this stuff. Got this in perfectly. Now both tires grab out back. Turns out there was some other stuff missing and broken on my truck he had time to squeeze in a fix. Grease my zerk fittings, front wheel bearings were loose, waiting for some gear oil, etc.

My hats off to Joe for just superb workmanship and hospitality. I 100% recommend him for any stuff you may need done. Just an all around great man, I am glad to see that there are still people that have a work ethic such as his.

Plus he works on a Ford. haha Glad you are able to stop now. How was the ride back. It nice to hear about a person that takes pride in their work. There are a lot of people that don't care. Get it done next. So Eric what is the next mod?

Thanks Eric....it was nice to meet you and I look forward to seeing you in the future even for just shits and grins.
Of course I work on Fords....I drive one! But that's only because the Chevy is still a work in progress.

Paul....RPMs are higher naturally but it's okay. Stopping is great. Probably a Pro-Flow 75mm MAF then a Diablo chip from Mr Allen.

Joe... yeah everyone there was pretty damn funny! I laughed my ass off a lot there.

Thats cool, I am pricing gears and posi right now and the cheapest I have found is from www.gearsareus.com

They have the Eaton for my truck at $349 and the Motive Ring and Pinion 3.73's at $139. All shipped it would come out to about $506.

But Summit does that "we beat anyones price" deal and the don't charge for shipping. Not sure how much it will be then.

A real LSD is great, I went from a pegleg 3.55:1 to an Eaton w/ 4.10:1...the Eaton is FAR better than that G80 in the Z. Very smooth and grabs great.
