Thread: Ordered my Nelson Tune today

1. #1
1000 miles on the OD of the 06 GMC, figured it was time for a tune. 93 Octane tune. Can't wait to call back next week and talk to Allen about some turbo topics.

Just sharing my excitement.

Let us know the results. Is the throttlebody electric or cable drivin? if electric do you get any lag in the throttle response????

00' 4.8l 5spd, K&N intake, Granatelli M/A, Shorty headers, Hypertech prg., 160* 2/4 drop

It is electric. This is the first NBS truck I have driven so I have nothing to compare to in terms of lag or not. I feel that it does take a while but maybe that is just me.

thanks i was just wondering a friend of mine went from an 01' to a 05' truck and hates it. Says the throttle response sucks compared to the his 01' truck. I told him it could probably b fixed with a tune but he won't listen to me?

I just can't believe how slow these things are off the line until they get some RPMs and then they take off.

I will be able to tell if that is better with the new tune.

Does seem to have better throttle response, but Allen will probably come on here and say there is nothing he changes to account for that. The tune does make it shift better and seems to run smoother.

60E

I think it is just because I was running a OBS RCSB with a SC on it, so now I am coming back to stock and a LOT heavier truck. It does take off slow though. I have the 3.42 gears, but had those in the OBS too.
