OK so just driving along and suddenly my engine starts ticking like I've got a dead lifter. BUT.. couldn't be cause the lifters have less than 700 miles on them. NO factory bull, comp cams jokers to go with the comp springs retainers rod and everything else in the heads. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the lifters were bad, would it not tick all the time??? or only when it decides to bleed down?? And if not them.. what the hell could it be. SPrings aren't broken, heads were setup professionally. Oil pump?? Help haha

does it tick repeatedly, then more then likely one lifter could be stuck ... does it ever quit? or is it constant

always after a hard interstate pull or any extended period of high RPM's. It will quit after awhile. And its always in the same spot. Same place i killed the factory lifters D/S rearmost lifter (forgot which cylinder)

SOUNDS LIKE A STICKY VALVE. RUN A BOTTLE OF LUCAS GAS TREATMENT THRU IT. IF IT STOPS, ITS A STICKY VALVE. PROBABLY HAS A LITTLE BUILD UP ON IT. MINE HAS DONE THAT BEFORE. I RAN A CAN OF B12 INJECTOR CLEANER THRU IT AND IT STOPPED. NOW I USE LUCAS TREATMENT 2 TIMES B/W OIL CHANGES.
