    i'm gonna throw this link up for you guys to peruse . Don't know if it's really a legit test or if it's something underwritten by an oil company but they're saying that they got 14,000 miles out of Mobil One with one oil filter change along the way and topping up of course . They also tested Amsoil which did well also

    Wow that was pretty cool. I guess I change my oil far too often since I change it at 3000 miles. I'll have to reconsider my intervals maybe up them to 4000.

    I go 8000 miles using Mobil One and my oil keeps that clean gold color for the first 2000 miles .

    I go 6k on M1 with filter change every 3k. I might up it to 8 with filter change every 4k. I followed that filter as it went on, the oil would realistically last not much longer than 8 or 9k. They topped it up every tiem they got a sample and added enough to throw the test.
