what di you think when u saw the smoke! Most people don't know
trans fluid burns white. I would have thought I had engine problems!
    Good Luck!
yeah thats what i thought at first was that i had blown a gasket but, i had also just left the shop so that was what i checked first. oh and the puddle of fluid under the truck kinda gave it away.

Holy shit man, I can not believe they still can not fix it.

Are they paying for your towing?

they have paid for all but one, tow. that one is because i did not want it towed to sit outside his shop over night. so i had it towed home. at the tune of $85.00. the warranty only covers towing to the shop.

well got it back tonight and it doesnt shift that hard anymore. its a little to soft if you ask me. the culprit was the inner houseing that holds the clutch packs. it shattered at the point where it and the input shaft come together. sheered the teeth right off and created several cracks in the housing. dont know if this was allready damaged was over looked, but it was found this time and corrected. but once again i will drive it untill it breaks. hopefully we have resolved this problem. and will have no others.( im not holding my breath)

I hope it works out for you. At least you have a shop that is working with you, it really sux to have it break and them not fix it right the first time.

I watch joe as much as possible when he's building a trans and you have to look at every piece of the tranny as it's coming apart. No seal untouched no part un mic'd.
A very tiny cut or knick in a rubber seal will cause problems, or will sooner or later. There's a lot of pressure in there and every piece has to be perfect.

Are they cleaning your cooler out and blowing your lines out? just wondering.

anyway, good luck on the rebuilt trans,

well here we go again. trans busted again tonight. i think we are down to the domino affect here. everything that was being stressed with the hard shifts is going so i think eventully we will have it under controll. just gonna have to keep hammering it untill it quits breaking.
oh and no i will not be able to make it to the Jan 2 meet, dont think i wont to make that long of a haul with the trans acting the way it is right now.

That bites. I thought you said he had his best man on it? You need to see if they will get you a new one or pay to have a wrecker follow you. haha. What did they have to say this time? Good luck this time. Hope they replace all the parts and can get you up and running for more than a day or two.
