    Are the gains noticiable and does it change the sound of the exhaust?

    Not sure of the exact gains you would see over a single setup, since I did mine at the same time as the headers, but the x-pipe will tame the sound down a bit. I loved the way mine sounded when I still had the cats.
    2000 Silverado, RCSB, 2wd w/ a few mods.
    Best 1/4 ET: 12.09@111.22 (old 5.3L H/C/N2O setup)
    WRE 370 and Kenne Bell 2.8L installed and breaking trannys.

    to tell you the truth i cant really tell a difference other than a minor sound difference. i agree the X will tame it a bit and make it sound smoother and more "racier" if that makes sense.

    X-pipe sound vs H-pipe sound is hard to explain. The X changes the note up more like a high winding sound and the H is just more traditional sounding.

    I read that the X is better for mid to upper RPM power and the H is better for down low.
