Got beat by a Hemi. plthh.

OK, yeah I got beat, so I'll just tell the story like it is followed shortly thereafter by my excuses.

I'm going down Beltline and ease past a 2wd '07 Dodge regular cab truck. Silver, real nice looking truck, nice wheels, and sounded really good. No visible exhaust, so I know it's modded out. And again, I'll admit - it sounded pretty tough. Anyway, as I get to his front fender, there's the Hemi emblem. I went past him, didn't goose it or anything because I had about 300 pounds of ceramic tile in boxes in the bed of my truck. He didn't get on it either and since I was a few lengths in front of him, couldn't help but pull in his lane to make sure he saw the sticker. Sure enough the light we're coming up to turns red. He comes up behind me, sits there for about 3 seconds, then swings out and comes up alongside me. I look over but his windows are limo dark and I can't see squat. Light turns green, and we both kind of start normal, but then both start getting into it. It's obvious it's on so we're both all the way into it. Problem is he starts pulling ahead. Not extremely fast - but he was definitely quicker than me. He gets ahead, slows down and I pull up alongside him. We're both only doing about 20 and traffic is sparse. So I say 'you've obviously done some mods' and smirked and just said 'uh, yeah - heavily'. He gave me smartest-butt look. That kind of pissed me off the way he said it and the smug look I got. I was being cool about it. Til then. So we get to a red light and I pull up next to him again and say 'Is it 4wd?'. He says f- no. Then I said 'You got 300 pounds of tile in the back?'. Then he realized what I was getting at and that just got me a big 'f-you' and he guns it and takes off.

Now I've raced Fords and Hemis and most guys are cool and will give the peace sign after - no matter who wins. This guy just thought he was "it". My sticker probably had something to do with it. But he was being a butt.

Anyway, I got beat, BUT (here come the excuses) he was 2wd, regular cab, didn't have 300 pounds of tile in the back, and as he put it, "heavily modifed".

So this is where you guys all chime in and tell me I did good and I was just "out-spent". I think he just bought more "speed" than me.

Oh well. Win some, lose some.

to this guy though heavily modded probably meant exhuast and intake and HPP3!! Face it, this guy was rice in a truck....fuck him man, if you werent loaded down neither one of you probably would have pulled.

I&#39;d like to think he WAS heavily modded. It would make me feel better about the loss - lol.

And I will say he didn&#39;t pull away at the bottom end. It took him til we were going about 50 or 60. Then he pulled away pretty steadily.

u and red03silss just cant get hemi&#39;s to bow down to ur stickers haha, good excuses tho, cant tell u how many times daniels come up with even more excuses about his loss i think yesterday or thursday he mentioned "id have beat that hemi if i had 4.56 gears. haha excuses excuses, just like i told him theres always someone faster just let it go haha, and theres always next time.

Ive only been beat by one hemi though. Who was heavily modded. 4.56&#39;s, Headers, HPPIII, Exaughs, and i think Stall. But youll get him next time moze. Keep you head up. it happens to all of us.

theres only 1 other hemi i think could beat red here in town, but he was also voted truck of the month on one of the hemi websites. his truck looks SICK, it looks close to an srt-10, but its a heavily modded hemi as well. idk of a chevy thats faster than daniels here in waco YET, although that may chenge soon hopefully&#33; we have a few lightnings 2 of which r heavily modded, so im guessing those r quicker than the SS, but mods r in the future of the SS, as well as my lil truck
