I'm eventually going to do both, just wondering which to do first:

Underdrive Pulleys or ported throttle body?

ive thought about doing the UD pulleys but then i realized i would want to also replace the ac pulley, but then my ac wouldnt run very cold at low rpms. so i decided not to.

i have a ported and polished throttle body and the underdrive pulley. my ac blows cold, and my subs never drain the electrical system any more than they did on the stock pulley.

old mod list: H/C/I/N/E/G 408
new mod list: 5.3, gears/posi, mufler and tune : (

i just thought that with a smaller pulley it might take more revolutions to turn the ac pulley making it blow colder, but its just something ive heard.

I think the compressor is going to run only long enough to reach a certain pressure then the clutch will disengage. So it doesn't matter how fast it is turning, it'll run as long as is required and then shut off.

Moze I'd port the TB first since it's basically free and the pulleys are like $200.

There is a difference between porting yourself and having one done by someone that knows something about air flow. I have never sold one to someone that couldnt feel the difference.

throttle body at top of page.

Does it make a difference on a DBW FI setup?
