A guy in Ca. offered to trade me even for my used 224 112 cam for his new 228/232 .588 .595 110+1 cam.
He said his tuner couldnt make it idle. He said it only has about 25 miles on it. Still basically new.
I dont know how in the hell he was going to pass Ca. smog test anyway.
Well the cam is on the way. I can just add it to my parts that just sit there waiting for me to do the swap in my '92.
I'm thinking that before I eventually get to the turbo, I can use that cam, mild head work, 3600 Vig I have, 4:10s, Caltracs, and a 150 shot and my truck should be damn quick.
Maybe I can leave the heads alone and try for the fastest LS based truck with no power adder. Thats just low to mid 12's isnt it? Truck weighs 3800lbs. It may be do-able.
