Any suggestions on what type or size tire to run!! I've been looking at 275/50/17 Falken or Nitto. It keeps the same height for Speedo to be correct. Anyone have any info?

I think you have the right size there, the 275's will be just right as far as width.
The 50's will give it a better look too,

I have experience with the Nitto's, they are great tires and low road noise. I have them on my 99 tahoe and they are pretty smooth.

Since I bought the Kuhmo's, i've been noticing that there are a lot of vehicles out there with the kuhmo's. They are great tires, the side wall seems a bit stiff, but I like it, helps with handling.

    good luck,

What size kumho tire are you running? What is it on? Do you know of any more people that make 275/50/17's besides Nitto and Falken?? Thanks>

I have smaller wheels than you, I run 275/60/15's and stock rims.

It looks like the tahoe's came with 265/70/17's. They are:
31.7" and about 10.4" wide (section width) this depends on the width of the rim too. I'm assuming it's on a 8" rim.

That size sure does limit your selection, hey how about this size?

    285/60/17
They are 30.4" tall (almost the same size as your stock ones) but they are fatter/wider too. This would give you tahoe a nice look.
Section width is 11.4" on a 8.5" rim, so should be about 11.2 or so on your rim.

Just a thought, I'm thinking the 50's you want might be too low for you, i didn't realize they were so low until I looked them up.

Is the 99 hoe 5 lug or 6 lug? Will you have to use adapters?

Hey Ron they are 5 hole. No adapters they'll bolt right up!! So Mexican you say you have some kumhos in a 275/60/17 how do you like them. Allen my Tahoe is the old body style it has 15's on it from the factory. I'm running a 275/60/15 BFG Radial T/A now. I wonder how much it will affect the speedo. I'm also planning on lowering it another 1" around. I have 2"drop spindles, shakles now. I've got a set of 3" leaf springs for it and I 'll have to order a set of 1" dropped coils for the front. Hey Ron by the way I bought those wheels from MEATHEAD!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!
