    A/C compressor questions

I'm putting an '05 LQ9 into my '98 Chevy ECSB and was wondering if I should try and use the a/c compressor that's on the 6.0 or if I should get an adapter bracket to use the one on my 5.7? I understand that the location of the LQ9 compressor won't work where it's at because it won't clear the frame in my OBS truck. Is there a compressor that is more efficient and reliable than the one I have? Is it worth the trouble? And has anyone bought the a/c kit from rockauto?http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...735&cc=1303614 I'm going to do the swap first and then integrate my a/c system later, or is this a bad idea?

Just get the lextech kit and be done with it. It keeps your original compressor and lines and puts it back where it sits on the old 5.7. I didn't even loose the freon during my swap.

Yeah I told him I'd be getting one by the end of August. This swap is going to cost me an additional $1k for all the stuff I have to add on to my truck!

Let me know if you start a build thread, cuz we'll be in this mess together basically! haha! Does that $1500 include the purchase price of the LQ4 and all the accessories attached?
