Your truck fuel gauge is a 0-90 ohm float, the camaro unit is a 40-280 ohm unit. It will never work right. The speedometer can be fixed by usin an X box, the X box uses the VSS signal and it spins a motor assembly that hooks up to tour cable drive speedo. $280
I knew about the different ohm readings on the sending unit and the Abbott Cable X. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $280 for a stepper motor that hooked up to my old speedo cable. I was tired of the old 85MPH speedo anyway and it made noise from being over 190K miles. The fuel is not too bad it runs out when the guage reads 1/4. I'll either graft on my 0-90 ohm unit or make some electronics (like a op-amp) to correct the fuel readings.
