Ok, I think this may have been covered before, but I have never actualy seen a good answer. My truck leaks on the passenger side under the carpet. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with around a 2001 truck, and have found where it comes from and how to stop it? I have my passenger side torne apart and am afraid to put it back together until I can fix the leak.

it seems to be under the carpet and not on top of the carpet.

well the heater core is going to leak against the firewall then drip between the firewall/floorboad and carpet. when you turn your heater on does it smell like antifreeze?

I haven't noticed the heater, didn't use it much during the winter, but the a/c smells a bit musty.
But, I usualy notice the water after a good rain.

Maybe the condinsate building up in the vents not sure where the drain is but I will bet that it is plugged and the water is leaking out of a seam somewhere... maybe?

my friends 04 had a bad gasket around the 3rd brake light and it leaked into the interior, try pouring buckets of water over your roof and front and back window. also watch the weatherstripping around the doors to see where the water is channeled.

Have you noticed it mostly when you've been running the AC. Sometime the condensation drains get stopped up and drain back inside.

Just a thought. It happened to both my mothers Lincoln and to my Jeep Wrangler.

A guy on another forum was wondering why is interior would get wet, especially after a rain. It was the seals on the windshield. Whoever did it did poorely. So he got a new windsheild and seals, no more wetness. But yours could be completely different.
