If you want more thump then you need to ask your tuner to lower your idle a bit and give you a choppy idle timing. A lower LSA would help as well. Your duration is already good to give you a mean thump, however, changing lobes isn't a bad idea.

If its the same grind as my old 224/230 then you are smokin mule dick if you think its not noticeable. My crap sounded like king kong in the bed of the truck.

It still should have a nice chop to it with the right exhaust system. Still in no wise tame sounding.

NP told me to do a 228/228 112LSA and a 2800 stall, said that is a great reliable set up for the 5.3. I've done some research on it and there's right at a 90 horse gain from stock. That's with a tune to. The idle will make you fall in love. I don't have a cam so I can't say for sure, but that's what I'm going with. NP knows there stuff.

Quit changing your screen name lol, only thing I could suggest is a more free flowing exhaust.

Mine screams like hell at full throttle. Just want a harder chop at idle. Im gonna do ported heads n new lifters so I might as well do a new lsr lobe cam.

overspeed and underspeed and timing at idle and idle rpm... adjust those to the idle sound you like.
