Can anyone tell me why?

So just for sh!ts and grins, I decided to go to Edmunds to compare Silverado, F-150, and Ram. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Chevy guy thru and thru, but why in the hell did GM allow the other 2 manufactures to spank the Silverado an Sierra on HP and torque? It's almost sad to see the numbers side by side. A buddy of mine is a Ford guy and we are always giving each other a hard time about our trucks, but if he ever says "mine has a lot more horse power, torque, and pulling capabilities", I would have to wave my proverbial white flag and I would hate to do that. LOL! Here is the comparisons I did.

best comparison is to line em up...i dont trust their numbers no more then i trust owebama

^ what he said. I got a stock 5.3l in my reg cab and have not been beaten by any stock reg cab ford or dodge (new and old). gotta factor in weight of both trucks and gearing as well!

And factor in that the Chevy that is being compared to the two is essentially a 7 year old design that is due for a new model this summer try the comparison again when the 2014 comes out
