It's gonna be wider. And no it's not going to bolt up.

Spring mounts and shock mounts in different locations. Although the carriers are interchangeable between the two.

Depending on the spline count right? I have a G80 rearend sitting in my donor truck, 01 Denali, that I would love to put in mine. But the spline count, if I remember correctly, is different and I wouldnt be able to use my stock axles.

01 has 31 splines axles and the older rear has 28 you would have to have aftermarket axles for it to work.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. But that carrier will bolt into my 10 bolt?

Yes, you may have to change the carrier bearings but the actual carriers themselves are the same.
