WTF HAPPENED!!! some craziness going on with tune.

Ok so the other day i posted about switching from an 80e to 60e tune. well anyways some crazy crap happened ill give the full run down truck is a 2001 rcsb, with a 2005 6.0 stock, could only get it to turn over but never run,but the tune we were using was for my old 5.3 with an 80e and everything was different, so i pulled the file off my 4.8L stock tune, change every variable even swap it to the 60e and put all those numbers the same so that the 6.0 has stock everything tune on it, went to flash the tune, about halfway thru the batt dies, truck wont do shiz, turn on the key and just the TB accuates, we unplug the battery for about a day and a half, hook up some jumper cables flash the tune in truck fires up smooth idle, it sounds perfect, and i mean perfect just like a stock truck should, i get back in the truck and push the gas pedal, and it just stopped, no sputter no hiccup just shutoff like i killed it, that was a week ago, and i cant figure it out, all that happens is the TB accuating no fuel no nothing, and when i hook up HPT it runs about halfway thru the tuning process and says boot loader failed or some crap.

anyone have any clue what the hell happened or what i did?????

Sounds like a virus.
Did you run ScanPro on the pcm to verify all the bits were aligned?


I usually see bootloader error when the battery gets low during flashing; connect a charger and try again.

thanks allen, ill try it, we had jumper cables hooked to it, but havent tried a charger, ill give it a whirl.

I have had issues like this before where the battery just craps the bed during a flash. Now every time we tune we hook up a battery charger on 2amp trickle charge and turn the lights off on batteries that are over a year old or when we cannot determine the age of the battery. We usually load test a battery before tuning as well to insure a healthy charging system. You should be fine with a battery charger on the truck. Hope this helps shed a little light on your problem that your having and not being the only one who has experienced this before.

yea im gonna try it, but why would the truck run perfect until i pushed the gas now nothing, thats whats got me confused

When I was having all my DBW issues my truck would pull the same crap trying to upload a tune. Drove Casey and I nuts. It was a damn bad ground in the TAC harness
