    Duntz's Sierra

I've got 00 Sierra 1500 Z71 that I've been slowly building up when I can steal some money from other projects. It's mostly stock expect for cold air intake, deleted cats, 3" single exhaust with a hooker aero chamber muffler, and 285 bfg at's on 16x8 Baja wheels painted black.

Here it is when I first got it

Wife wrecked it couple years ago so I had projector headlights, clear corners, and a billet grill installed since they where replacing the stuff anyways

Here is the only pic I've got right now of what it looks like and yes that was my drive way up until about a month and a half ago( bought a farm in April 2011 and put a doublewide on it back in January so I'm still getting stuff setup ), I'll get some better pics tomorrow

Here is the dyno run, they only took video of the first run which I hit the speed limiter

Friday I lost 3rd and 4th gears in the trans so I've been ordering parts for the used 60e I'm sticking in it; I ordered a circle d 3,000 stall, 40k cooler, vette servo's, and a hd2 shift kit for it. Was going to stick the 01 zo6 cam I got but I'm going to stick it in the 4.8 that's going into my GMC Truggy and I'm going to stick something bigger in the 00 Sierra.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

No reason for a Dyno tune unless you are doing something crazy. A street tune or even a mail order tune would work great and for less money.

Time to get a new transmission shop. Plenty of guys running that exact kit and DDing with out a hitch.

Overall a great looking truck with massive potential!!! Welcome to the site.

Got a local guy that I dynoed my truck on his dyno, he is Bluecat Tuning and really knows what he is doing with LS motors.

Thanks and I can't wait to see how well I can get this ol truck to run.

I actually ended up not doing the shift kit, I bought a 4l60e controller which I am going to wire in line and it allows me to monitor temperature, line pressure and dtc's seperate from the engine. I can also increase line pressures and shift points, I got it from Summit Racing (TCI) $139.00

Thank you for the clarification though, my dad owns the transmission shop by the way not that it matters lol!! He thinks my truck isn't going to run anyways ha ha ha....

Got the trans back in and got to drive it yesterday. Everything works good and the shift kit doesn't shift that hard at all, just firm into all the gears(still stock tune so that might be why) and the converter is going to take time to get used to but I like it.

While working on it I found my exhaust leak, the driver side flange where it connects to the manifold is bent from where I got stuck on a tree stump a few months back so Im trying to scrape the money together for headers.
