New to the 4l80e...need advice

I pulled the 5.3 and 4l60e out of my s-10 and will be replacing it with an LS2 and a 4l80e. I need to know what 4l80e to pickup to have redone for my application. What year trans will be the least problem for me? I will be using a 2000 silverado computer and harness. I keep getting conflicting advice from the transmission shop. I have been told any year 4l80e will work, but have also been told to find a 97 or newer. I plan on buying a convertor and i know there are differences in the front pump. Any help would be great and I hope I don't sound like too much of a noobie!

They are all somewhat the same, but i would go 2000 and up, sorry idk the differences, there is one on performancetrucks.net for 750$ i believe.
