Thread: nelson e fan harness & z28 fans, ????????

    nelson e fan harness & z28 fans, ????????

    i just picked up ls1 z28 e fans with 45k miles ($40) and im calling nelson's monday for a retune and fan harness, my question is what else do i need for the install, like wire, bolts, and ect? i dont want to make a bunch of trips to ace and vatozone when im workin. i used the search and couldnt answer my own ?, i will take pics and what not and post the install up when im done for any one else with my problem.

    procharger p1sc, nelson tune, 42# marine injectors, walbro 255, lt's, ory, 4" volant cat back, PerformaBuilt level 2 pro race trans, trans. cooler with e fan, 2500 stall, aem wideband, energy bushings, spohn perf. trailing and panhard rods, mb & gear alloy 22's ( ya 2 sets, im big ballin), ss brake lines, drilled & slotted rotors, bla bla bla bla bla bla bla,
    and ya it will beat a hemi.

    get some 1/4 aluminum flat stock and 3 or 4 bolt/washers/nylon locknuts to use on the fan shroud and then you can use the factory bolt holes in the radiator support. i made a bracket to mount the relays to the alt bracket, also doubled as my ground location. make sure you get the right green wire, i can't remember if it is the light or dark though, and take your time with the pcm connector, they are a pain to repin if they come out.

    this was on my old truck, and i went back later and covered up the t-tap

    I used some of those plastic zip tie things that are used to secure transmission coolers. Worked great and looks pretty clean.

    I also used the chance (and extra space) to make a custom 4" air intake setup to go with my modded stock airbox.
