    Noisy Valvetrain?

Since I put the 383 in my truck the valvetrain has been really noisy. Is there a way to quiet it down through the use of different rockers, pushrods, etc?

I currently run a TR220-114 with stock rockers.

I plan on tearing my motor down to replace the heads and cam to set up my motor a little better for a turbo so I will have it apart anyways.

do you have correct lenght push rods? please dont say you used 7.4s without a proper measurement of what you actually needed. that right htere could be yoru sole problem with noise.

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Can I change the pushrods out with the cam and lifters in the engine? If I can, I was thinking about getting a real world measurement of the pushrod and maybe swapping them if thats my problem. It might be a while before I swap my heads.

Sure you can, pull the coils and valve covers, remove the rocker arms and go to town! You can buy comp push rod lenght checkers from summit.
